You can step out of bed through the sliding glass doors onto the balcony and enjoy the view of the treetops in the Conway National Park. Our one-bedroom self-contained unit is equipped with the necessities required for self catering. Along with the microwave is a two burner ceramic hotplate (no oven or grill), saucepans and utensils. You will also find a dishwasher, large fridge, iron and ironing board, toaster, electric jug, coffee plunger and crockery and cutlery. A washing machine and tumble dryer ensure your domestic duties can be taken care of efficiently and you have the day free to explore the beautiful surrounds. Bathrooms have shower only, no bath. The queen-size bed is in the separate bedroom and if required two more single beds can be made up on the day/night sofa in the lounge area. Sleeps a maximum of 4 people.

"We hadn't expected Mango House resort to be quite so far out from the centre, but the walk into Airlie Beach only took 20minutes.
We arrived 2hrs earlier than check-in, and asked if we could park the car before walking into town. We were surprised to find the room ready and the receptionist very pleasant and keen to show us around, despite a fully booked Resort.
The apartment on the second floor was lovely, louvres all round as an alternative to the air-conditioning, and a good sized balcony where we ate at night.
Cooking facilities were excellent, and we were surprised to find a washing machine and dryer in a cupboard off the bedroom. The bedroom was compact, but very clean and comfortable.
We chose to shop for groceries and liquor at the shops just across the road, but have heard that the nearby tavern is well recommended.
We will certainly stay there again, as we found the staff pleasant, the apartment comfortable, and the surroundings attractive.

Mango House Resort is only 20 mins from the Bruce Highway. Turn off towards Airlie Beach & the Whitsundays and follow road through the town. We are app. 2 kms on the right from Airlie Beach.
The area is serviced by both train and air. The train station is in Proserpine(20 mins). The nearest airport serviced by both Qantas and Virgin is 30 mins away. |
