"It is a basic hotel but clean and the staff are friendly and helpful " - Anonymous
"The place is disgusting and I would strongly advise booking a hotel elsewhere. The staff are not in the least bit interested in sorting out any issues, such as dirty rooms and cold showers.
The breakfast is best avoided, white bread, jam and processed cheese, with very diluted orange squash disguised as "orange juice".
For hostel-like facilities, I would expect hostel-like prices." - Ronel Marlize Gowar
"If you just need somewhere inexpensive to lay your head for a few nights, then the Pembury is adequate. The hotel could do with investing in new carpets and bed linen (there were holes in some of the linen), though that's cosmetic - the existing stock does the job. Breakfast is basic (toast, cereal). Tablecloths in the breakfast room were filthy. All rooms being ensuite is a bonus for the price, though there was no hot water when I tried to have a shower when I arrived in the afternoon. (There was plenty of hot water in the morning.) The hotel is close to the underground and only 15-20 minutes from the city centre, though the locale of the hotel didn't inspire me with confidence. If you just want somewhere to sleep, then the Pembury, as I say, is adequate; if you will be spending time in the hotel or want a bit of luxury, then stay away." - Anonymous
"This hotel is an excellent base for visiting central London. Ideal if you're just visiting for a couple of days and just need somewhere to get you're head down. Would recommend asking for room at back of hotel though as it is situated on busy main road. Safe parking at rear of hotel. Finsbury Park Station is just 2 minutes walk. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Cheap and cheerful but would definitely use again." - Anonymous
