"The Ponte Sisto Hotel is spotless and has an excellent location just across the river from the Trastevere, close to the Campo dei Fiori and within walking distance of the Vatican and the Palatino.
I had spent the previous two weeks in the Le Marche region of Italy enjoying "Italian breakfasts" and the breakfast at the Ponte Sisto (bacon and scrambled egg) was a lovely treat.
The hotel also provides a taxi service to the airport which at €50 by Roma's standards is quite reasonable.
I initially had a problem with my room which the hotel sorted quickly and efficiently.

The most convenient way to reach the Hotel is via taxi or private car service, which we would be happy to arrange for you in advance.
For those guests wishing to arrive via public transportation from the main train station or the airports, please use the following instructions:
From Termini, Rome’s main rail station, take the number 64 bus and get off at the Corso Vittorio Emanuele II/S. Andrea della Valle stop. From here, walk briefly to Corso del Rinascimento and go left until you reach the stop for the 116 bus. Take the 116 bus and get off at the Via Giulia/Polverone stop. Walk a few meters to Via dei Pettinari and go left down this street for approximately 50 meters to the Hotel.
From Fiumicino/Leonardo da Vinci airport, you may take a bus or train (departing every 30 minutes) to the Termini rail station and then follow the directions above.
From Ciampino airport, there is also a bus service running to Termini.
