The village appears suddenly, a delightful corner of the past that rises splendidly untouched and proud of its setting.
The silence that surrounds it is astonishing: from every corner, amidst the leafy green trees, you can hear birds singing, heedless of the fact that in some other corner of the world, life has long since changed its pace.
Inside, the historic and rural memory of the place reveals itself again in the structure of the Castello di Poggio, which is clearly preserved. Could it be the typical Umbrian stonework of its walls, extending right into the reception area? Perhaps it's the wonderful enormous milling grind-stone and press, or maybe
its arches and terracotta floors. Whatever it is, the air is filled with an enchanting "je ne sais quoi".
In our panoramic restaurant "Il Pavone", in perfect harmony with everything around you, you can savour some of the fines dishes of the traditional Umbrian cuisine, modified and revisited personally by our Chef Fabio.
A new addition to Relais Canalicchio is the Wellness Center: we have a whirlpool bathtub, Turkish bath, Gym and Fitness area, solar shower, sauna, massage zone, relaxation zone and a tea room. The purpose of the Wellness Center is to give you a unique experience, a journey through the senses. Coming from Rome take the A1 Autostrada in direction "Firenze", exit at "Orte". Continue on the E45 Superstrada in direction "Perugia - Cesena" and exit at "Ripabianca". You'll find indications for the Relais il Canalicchio at the exit.
Coming from Florence take the A1 Autostrada in direction "Roma", exit at "Valdichiana", heading to "Perugia". After Perugia continue on the E45 Superstrada in direction "Roma - Terni" and exit at "Ripabianca" . You'll find indications for the Relais il Canalicchio at the exit |
