"We had a very good time in the Royal Scot Club, especially as it felt to be back at least 60 years in history. The service was good, the room was clean and ...I would go back there ..FOR SURE!" - Cornelia Raffeiner
"Small and friendly hotel as part of a club with historic connections to the Royal Scots regiment. Individual touches make the experience more comfortable than a multi-national/larger building." - Anonymous
"A comfortable hotel with a really distinctive character and a lot of history which you can see and feel everywhere." - Anonymous
"This hotel is not a 3 star rating! It should be 4/5 star but as there is not a public lift it cannot be rated higher one assumes. It desperately needs a lift as some rooms are on top floor. In Edinburgh that means an equivelent of 4 stories high as rooms are so tall.
The entrance doors are very heavy. A doorman is needed especially for elderly guests. My husband is 89 years old and struggled with doors and luggage etc as I did. The two receptionists saw our difficulties but did not offer any help.
Otherwise an excellent hotel with a great ambience and our stay was much enjoyed." - James Cairns
