"It is a good hotel for the price it costs. Great location. Cleaner will be better. " - Anonymous
"The location is good for sightseeing, but our grubby 'double' room which didn't have space to put a suitcase on the floor wasn't inviting after a long flight. The price was understandably inflated as there was a shortage of room in the city, but I did feel seriously ripped off. Alarm bells should have rung when we had to pay for our entire stay in advance of viewing our room.... Our bathroom window had a serious crack in it which looked like it had been repaired by a three year old and there were no curtains - or blind - in the bathroom. The air conditioning unit worked intermittently and, in my opinion, the wiring wouldn't pass a basic safety test. The staff seem to be fine - and 'renovation' work was undertaken while we were there but it does seem to be an aesthetic paint job rather than an investment for guest comfort. So if its the last option to stay in DC - go ahead and book, otherwise there are far more attractive options......." - Anonymous
"Friendly service, great location." - Anonymous
"The thing that really makes the Braxton stand out is the service. I have stayed at many big brand hotels, and have never received the kind of excellent service we received at the Braxton. When we arrived, the hotel clerk spent 10 minutes on the phone directing my husband to the parking - after he had let me call his out of state cell phone using the office phone! Later, when we were trying to find out last minute information on the White House, a different front desk clerk asked us if we would like to use his laptop! The manager allowed us to keep our car in the parking lot until 3pm when we could check in to our next hotel. The service at the Braxton was truly exceptional." - Michael Raymond
