| Hotel Description: |

The Coach House Hotel is situated in Canterbury city centre on Watling Street, lined by Georgian and Tudor buildings and with the picturesque and historic Dane John gardens opposite.
The hotel is, as the name suggests, an old coach house built in 1807. A grade II listed building, with original features, the hotel has several outstanding decorative points including original fireplaces in all rooms and a rear courtyard garden.
The Rooms are recently refurbished, bright and spacious, offering a high level of comfort and style. All are en suite and equipped with TVs, radio-alarm clocks and wireless broadband.
Within minutes walk from the Hotel is the Canterbury Cathedral, the city wall, the Medieval Plague Hospital, the River Stour, the West Gate and gardens, the Normans castle, pedestrianized centre and many other interesting historical buildings. There are also a number of museums including the Cathedral Roman Museum with its fascinating subterranean exhibition and original mosaic floors and The Canterbury Tales museum where you can experience the sights, sounds and smells of Medieval England.
Breakfast is either Continental with hot croissants, rolls, cereals, fruit, yogurt and juices or a full English breakfast of free-range eggs, bacon, local sausage, mushrooms and tomatoes or vegetarian sausage. Our food produce is fresh and delivered daily by local farmers. We serve a range of teas, fresh ground coffee and hot chocolate. |
