The 5 Best Places to Have a Bachelorette Party

posted in: Fun  |  posted by: Jennifer Gregory on January 16, 2009  |  2 Comments

Partying with the girls is fun. A night on the town for your bachelorette party (whether it’s your first or fourth) is even better. Every girl deserves to celebrate her coming nuptials in style.

As destination weddings become more popular so, too, are destination bachelorette parties. The celebration is like a special ritual and is observed in cultures around the entire world. In some countries women go out drinking and play party games while in others they observe a quiet evening in to pamper themselves.

Whether you’re a party animal or a shy bride you’re sure to find at least one or two thrilling places to have your bachelorette party. Consider one of these:

5. South Beach, Miami, Florida

South Beach Florida

South Beach is known for being a party town, mainly amongst those seeking a place to celebrate their freedom over spring break. Bachelorette parties are a common sight to see as well, though, as girls from all over the country gather to celebrate in style.

There are dozens of hotels in the area and many offer special packages to future brides and their guests. The Catalina Hotel & Beach Club, for example, offers a package that gives the featured guest and her entourage access to spa treatments, club passes, and even a few free drinks.

4. Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas

Until recently, Las Vegas was considered a bachelor party destination, but we didn’t think it was fair for the guys to have all of the fun. What you do and see while in Sin City is completely up to you, whether you choose to explore the surrounding natural and historic sites or spend your days in the casinos.

If you do end up partying, make sure you only stay for a night or two. Too much of a good thing is never recommended and you don’t want to party too hard before the big day. Looking for something new and exciting to do? Skip the clubs and the Chippendales and head on over to StudiOhm and sign the entire group up for pole dancing lessons.

3. New York City, New York

New York City
New York City is a hot bachelorette party destination for girls all along the East coast. As a matter of fact, we see girls no only flying in to spend the weekend, but renting limousines to take drives up to three hours each way for one evening of partying alone.

Those spending the entire weekend will enjoy places like the Ganesvoort Hotel, with a heated pool on the roof that remains open year-round. There are dozens of hot clubs and restaurants in within the city, but you really don’t need to leave the G-Spa at the Ganesvoort Hotel if you don’t want to. By day it’s a spa, and each evening it transforms into a luxurious cocktail bar complete with glass dance floors.

2. Orlando, Florida

Sea World Orlando

Truth be told, we know more married couples that have visited Orlando for their honeymoons than we do those who visit for a bachelorette party, but there’s plenty to do here as well. Those who don’t mind family crowds will enjoy afternoons in Disney, SeaWorld, or even Universal Studios.

Gaylord Palms

Those who want to relax and be pampered will enjoy the services offered at hotels such as the Hard Rock at Universal Orlando Resort or the Canyon Ranch Spa Club at the Gaylord Palms Hotel. When you’re ready, visit some of the area’s local bars. Sky 60 has an amazing rooftop atmosphere and The Beacon is a fun destination as well.

1. Charleston, South Carolina

Folly Beach

Charleston isn’t exactly a party city. It’s more of a luxurious destination for those who prefer to be treated like luxury in an atmosphere that can only be described as low-key. Charleston is a popular wedding destination, but is great for a girly get together, too.

Sullivan Island

For a bachelorette weekend with a twist, consider renting a beach house on either Folly Beach or Sullivan’s Island. It’s a secluded and beautiful atmosphere close enough to the city itself for a trip to a fine dining establishment or for a shopping excursion. Looking for something different to do? Try a cooking class at Maverick Southern Kitchens. One of the newlyweds should be able to cook – it might as well be you!

Whether you choose to hit the road for a destination bachelorette party or stay closer to home, the memories you create will be cherished for a lifetime. It doesn’t matter if you’re partying the night away or sipping wine in your girlfriend’s living room – one thing will always remain true: friends are forever. Enjoy the time you have to spend with your girlfriends before your special day!
